Mangroves are ecosystems that are vital for biodiversity conservation, coastal protection and the well-being of local communities, but they face numerous pressures and are subject to damage. This course offers a practical approach to mangrove restoration: understanding the causes of degradation, selecting sites for rehabilitation, planning the work, implementation, monitoring progress and the sustainable management of ecosystem resources and services once they have been restored.
